What a record-hot season taught us in Graubünden

Field trials in Graubünden in 2026 show how VitiProtect —a joint collaboration between Weinbauzentrum Wädenswil (WBZW), Agroscope and databaum—can support more targeted downy-mildew management using local weather data and AI-based disease-risk modelling. The 2026 Graubünden trials tested VitiProtect validation model 3.0 under commercial vineyard conditions, comparing the AI-supported

How Disease Prediction and BBCH Prediction Work Together in the Vineyard

In vineyard protection, timing matters as much as the product you choose. A day with high infection pressure does not mean the same thing before flowering, during a sensitive development stage, or later in the season. That is why databaum combines two types of prediction: disease prediction and BBCH prediction.
